Dear citizens,
Marcel Adrian GOIA
Our town, Haţeg, like most cities and towns in Romania, after 1989, has undergone an extensive process of restructuring and reorientation, both economically and socially, which significantly changed the lives of its inhabitants.
Although this transition has often been painful, our community has managed to overcome the critical moments, to keep its identity intact, built step by step throughout its almost 800 years of existence, and look forward to the future. We are a town of ambitious and innovative people, with respect for traditional values and at the same time, always open to new.
In terms of tourism, Haţeg area and The District of Haţeg, so called “Transylvania in miniature”, as described by Ion Pop Reteganul in the Romanian literature, astonish by their remarkable landscapes. And that is not all. We have medieval churches, houses and castles, local cuisine and caves inhabited since the Paleolithic, bisons and even dinosaurs that make this destination a piece of heaven.
The National Centre for Tourism Information and Promotion will be dedicated to promoting the tourist attractions in our area and providing clear and concise information to the tourists via online communication tools or on site, ensuring a continuous and updated flow of information.
We have beautiful places and people, and I hope that in the future we will succeed in attracting as many tourists as possible, who will want to come back and visit Haţeg District again.
Faithfully yours,
Marcel Adrian Goia, MESSAGE OF LEGAL REPRESENTATIVE OF THE PROJECT
